Day 01: Srinagar

Arrive Srinagar
Welcome to "Delhi Leh Air Package"!
On arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be met and transfered by our representative
to the House boat. Relax for a while and later proceed for Shikara ride at Dal
Lake.
Dal Lake : Dal Lake is a scenic picnic spot surrounded by forests of pine. It
is a good base for trekkers. A colorful annual fair is held here every September.
Shikara Ride : Shikara is a Gondola type light rowing boat. The one hour boat
ride takes tourists on a relaxing sightseeing tour of interior parts of the
calm and placid waters of Dal Lake, to see the market and the floating Gardens.

Day 02: Srinagar
After breakfast sightseeing of the Mughal Gardens, visiting Nishat Bagh
built by Asaf Khan, the brother- in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632 A.D. Shalimar
Bagh was built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Nur Jahan. All the gardens
are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background.
Enroute visit the gardens and a carpet weaving factory.
Afternoon free.

Day 03: Srinagar - Gulmarg-Srinagar
This morning after a leisurely beakfast proceed on a full day trip to
Gulmarg.
Gulmarg: The meadow of flowers, 2730 mts, above sea level. The distance of
56 kms, will be covered in about 2.5 hours. Gulmarg has one of the highest
golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You cam also enjoy a view of Nanga
Parbat if the weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg
is fascinating. A short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about
3 hrs., is optional. The Gondola Lift for mountain rides is also available.
Later in the evening return to Srinagar to stay overnight on the houseboat.

Day 04: Srinagar - Leh
On the day 4 of your tour transfer to the Srinagar airport to board flight
to Leh. You will be received on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Day free for rest and acclimatize yourself to the altitude and rarified air
of Ladakh.

Day 05: Leh - Full Day Tour Alchi and Phyang
After breakfast leave for Alchi. Visit Alchi and Phyang Gompa.
Alchi Gompa: 70 Kms from Leh, on the banks of the Indus, is the Alchi Gompa
dating a thousand years back. One of its walls features thousands of miniature
sized pictures of the Buddha. Three large sized images made of clay and painted
brightly are its focal attractions. No longer an active religious center,
it is looked after by monks from the Liker monastery. This is the only monastery
amongst 34 monasteries, which is not located on a hilltop.
Phiyang Gompa : 17 Kms from Leh on the Leh-Kargil road, it looks like a huge
palace from afar, build by Tashi Namgyal in the later half of the 16th century
AD, it belongs to the Red Cap sect of Buddhists. Hundreds of icon of Buddha
and other gods are kept on wooden shelves.
Continue drive towards Alchi monastery, famous for its massive statues of
Buddha, its wood carving and Cashmere wall paintings.
In the evening drive back to Leh for an overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 06: Leh (Visit The Local Baazar)
After breakfast visit the local market in Leh, where you can buy Ladakhi
craft items at the local market.

Day 07: Leh-Delhi
After breakfast transfer to the Leh Airport to board flight to Delhi with
sweet and unforgettable memories of "Delhi Leh Air Package" escorted
