Transfer to Delhi airport (at your own) to catch flight for Leh

Welcome to Vardhman's "Mystic Ladakh Tour"!
On arrival at LEh Kushok Bakula Airport, you will be received by our representative
at Kushok Bakula Airport Leh and then transfer to hotel. Take complete rest
to acclimatize yourself. Evening free to visit Leh bazaar.

Day 02: Leh
After Breakfast proceed for fullday tour of Indus Valley Monasteries.
Visit the Royal Museum at Stok Palace, Thiksey,Hemis monasteries and Stok
Palace Museum.
Hemis Gompa: Ladakh's largest monastery. It contains a number of gold statues
and Stupas decorated with precious stones and a superb collection of Thankas,
including one that is the largest in existence. Hemis gompa is believed to
have been established in 1630 by Lama Tagstang Raspa and built by Palden Sara
under the patronage of King Sengge Namgyal on a site previously sanctified
by the construction of a cave hermitage dating from the 12th century. This
monastery is the oldest one in the area belonging to the Kargyu school. The
Gompa is a unique example of a monastic complex of this period which manifests
in its structure the geomantic principles which underlie religious constructions
of this type.
Stok Palace & Museum : The palace of the banished royal family, Stok has
a museum which displays fabulous period costumes and jewelry of the royalty
along with exquisite Thankas representing the life style of Shakya Muni. Interesting
historical objects like coins, armor, weapons, precious jades and porcelain
too can be seen here.
Thiksey Gompa : 19 Kms from Leh, spectacularly sited, Thiksey is one of the
largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas. There are several temples
in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which
are exquisite.
Return to your hotel in Leh in the evening.

Day 03: Leh -Khardongla Pass- Nubra Valley
After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via the world famous Khardongla
Pass 18360 ft.
Khardungla Pass: The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La
pass (The highest Motorable road in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms. Away
from Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong
is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other
villages
Arrive and check in at the Camp in Nubra. Afternoon visit Samstanling &
Panamic Hot springs.

Day 04: Nubra Valley
After breakfast visit The Diskit & Hundur Gompas of Ladakh and white
sand dunes with a camel Safari. There is a legend attached to this monastery.
It goes that a Mongol demon, a sworn enemy of Buddhism, was annihilated near
the monastery. However, his lifeless body kept coming back there again and
again. It is further said that the wrinkled head and hand of the demon are
still kept there in a dark and claustrophobic temple, packed with fierce Gods
and Goddesses.

Day 05: Nubra Valley-Leh
This morning after leisure breakfast drive back to Leh via Khrdongla pass.
Enroute visit the small Yarabtso Lake. Check into your hotel upon arrival.
Evening is free to visit Leh market,Samstanling Monastery.

Day 06: Leh - Delhi
In the morning transfer to Leh aiport to catch flight for Delhi. On arrival
at Delhi domestic airport transfer to Delhi International airport (through
Shuttle services available free of cost at the airport) to board the flight
for your onward journey to back home with sweet and pleasant memories of your
"Mystic Ladakh Tour" escorted by Vardhman Vacations.
