Duration: 31 Nights - 32 Days Trek
Day 1:
Arrive in LehEarly morning flight to Leh. Day free for rest and acclimatization.
Day 2: Leh TourAfter breakfast we leave for a tour of Leh city,
and see its historic sights including the 17th century Leh Palace and various
Gompas in Leh.
Day 3: Indus ValleyAfter breakfast we leave
for a tour of the monasteries and palaces of the Indus valley. Stay overnight
in a camp along the way.
Day 4: Indus ValleyAfter breakfast
we continue our tour of the monasteries and palaces of the Indus valley. Stay
overnight in a camp.
Day 5: LamayuruTravel by jeep to Lamayuru
Gompa, a historic Buddhist site and see the art and architectural wonders of Lamayuru.
Stay overnight in the village.
Day 6: WanlahTrek from Lamayuru
over Prinkiti La (3725 metres) to the village of Wanlah, with its ancient gompa.
Day 7: HonupattaTrek through steep gorges and valleys to the
village of Honupatta. Stay overnight in the village.
Day 8: PhotoksarTrek
to the village of Photoksar, from where you can trek to upward along the mountains.
Day 9: Singge La Base CampTrek to the Singge La north base
camp.
Day 10: Singge La PassTrek over the 5100 metre Singge
La pass to the south base camp.
Day 11: LingshetTrek to Lingshet,
an isolated village with stunning views of the mountains.
Day 12: SnertseTrek
to Snertse, and admire the view from this towering height.
Day 13:
Hanuma LaTrek to Hanuma La, a pass between high mountains.
Day
14: PishuTrek to Pishu, an isolated peak.
Day 15: KarshaTrek
to Karsha, the largest monastery in the entire Zanskar valley.
Day
16: PadumTrek to Padum, crossing the Zanskar river on a remarkable bridge.
Day 17: PadumDay at leisure in Padum.
Day 18: MuneTrek
past the riverside citadel of Bardan gompa to Mune.
Day 19: IcharContinue
along the banks of the Lungnak (Lingti) River to the village of Ichar.
Day
20: PurniTrek to Purni, where the Kargyak and Tsarap rivers first merge
to form the mighty Lingti Chu River.
Day 21: Phugtal GompaTrek
to Phugtal gompa, one of the world's most spectacular structures. Its location,
spilling down a sheer cliff face from the mouth of a massive cave, is a staggering
sight.
Day 22: TangtseTrek to the friendly village of Tangtse,
at the base of the gorge leading to Phirtse La.
Day 23: ShingsawTrek
to Shingsaw, the base camp for our pass crossing.
Day 24: Phirtse LaWe
make an early start to cross Phirtse La (5350 metres) to the vast nomad camp at
Chumik Marpo.
Day 25: Serchu SeraiTrek to Serchu Serai, on
the banks of the Yunan River.
Day 26: Kilang SaraiTrek to Kilang
Sarai, and then travel along the scenic Manali to Leh military road.
Day
27: KeylongTravel by jeep to Keylong, the capitol and administrative center
of Lahaul.
Day 28: Rohtang PassTravel by jeep over Rohtang
Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, to Manali.
Day
29: Manali.Rest day in Manali.
Day 30: PinjoreTravel
by jeep to Pinjore. Arrive and check into the hotel where you stay overnight.
Day 31: ChandigarhTravel by Jeep to Chandigarh, then catch
the express train to Delhi. On arrival check in at your hotel. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 32: Delhi
Transfer to the airport for your flight to your onward destination. Leave with
