Day 01: Arrival and Delhi Sightseeing
Your Leh tour begins with your arrival in Delhi. Our executives will receive
you at the airport and will escort you to the hotel. Enjoy a sightseeing tour
of Old and New Delhi in the afternoon covering Raj Ghat, Shanti Vana, Jama Masjid,
Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, President
House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Kullu - Manali
Depart from New Delhi by air for Kullu. On arrival at Bhuntar Airport move to
the Manali hill station. Nestled at the foot of the mighty Himalayas, the Kullu
valley is renowned for its picture-postcard landscape. Manali is located at
the northern end of the Kullu Valley and is extremely popular as a trekking
destination. The snow-capped Himalayan peaks and the Beas river add to the idyllic
surroundings. Rest at the hotel for the night.
Day 03: Jispa
Pass through the Rohtang Pass en route to your drive to Jispa. Enjoy a panoramic
view of the open valley with the meandering Chandra River. Enjoy the trekking
by climbing the hillside at Keylong, a quaint village on the trade route between
India and China/Tibet. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Sarchu
Traverse through the villages of Darcha, Baralacha, Darcha-Sumdo and Bhagsu
to reach the Sarchu plains at an altitude of about 3900-odd meters. Embark on
a trekking expedition and relish the thrilling adventure inherent in the steep
climb on the towering peaks. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Leh
Drive through the Sarchu plateau and arrive at the foot of Lachungla. Move towards
the Moore plains at 4,200 metres, the highest in the Tibetan plateau. Continue
driving to Tanglangla that offers you breathtaking views of the Zanskar range.
Reach the Ladakhi hamlet, Gya near which you come across the great Indus River.
Day 06: Leh
The first-half of the day is reserved for leisure and holiday activities. An
afternoon half-day city sightseeing tour takes you to the tourist places like
Shankar Gompa, Spituk and Phyang Monasteries. Located atop a hillock, the Spituk
monastery commands a panoramic view of the Indus Valley and dates back to the
15th century. The Shankar Gompa is a branch of the Spituk Monastery and was
founded by the first incarnation of Skyabje Bakula (the head monk of Spituk).
In the evening visit Ladakh.
Day 07: Leh
As soon as you reach Leh, go for a full-day excursion to Shey, Thikse and Hemis
Monasteries. The Shey Gompa is renowned for the 7.5 meter high copper statue
of Buddha, plated with gold, and the largest of its kind.
Day 08: Delhi
Depart for New Delhi by air from Leh. At the airport, our executive will help
you to transfer to the flight to your onward destination.
